Lawrence Dean Hope, 64, of Topeka, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his home. He was born March 3, 1949 in Linton, IN the son of Elsworth and Christina (Passen) Hope.
Larry earned the rank of Sergeant in the Air Force from June of 1968 to June of 1971 as an Aircraft and Engineer Mechanic, and served in Vietnam. He was employed by Del-Monte as an electrician for the Maintenance Team.
Larry married Lacinda Sue Blackwell on September 29, 1997 in Topeka. She survives. He is also survived by his 2 dogs and best friends, "Baby" and "Ransome"; 5 step-daughters, Julee Carpenter, Tammy Allen, Jennifer Bolze, Dana Michael, Stacey Michael; and 1 step-son, Robbie Roberts.
Larry was a kind and caring man that took very good care of his wife and family. Larry was not a man of many words, but if you ever had the privilege to talk to him, you always knew everything was "alright".
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18th at Rolling Hills Christian Church, 4530 NW Hiawatha Place in Topeka.
