Lawrence Martin Roykouff passed away in Topeka on June 6, 2004. Lawrence was born the son of Albert C. Roykouff and Lillian (Lawrence) Roykouff on November 13, 1918 in Buffalo, New York. He was a World War II Veteran entering the Army March of 1942 having served in the European Theatre entering France on the 2nd day of D-Day serving in the 709th Tank Battallion.
He married Amanda Eulert on May 4, 1946. They moved to California in August, 1947 where he operated a printing business until 1987. In semi retirement he did large print printing for the Lutheran Braille Workers in Yucaipa, California.
Because of his and his wife's failing health, they moved to Topeka, Kansas in 2002 to be closer to family.
Lawrence was active in his church in California and also in the Lutheran Layman League. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his wife Amanda (Eulert) Roykauff in January of 2004.
He is survived by two sisters:
Dorothy Becker of Houston, Texas
Hazel Zehner of Cleveland, Ohio
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church. A visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. the same day at the Netawaka Cemetery.
