Leah Flickinger

Leah L. Flickinger, 87, Topeka, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009 at a local care center.
Leah was born August 16, 1921 in Idaho Falls, ID, the daughter of Alex and Anna (Greb) Heffel.
She was a Registered Nurse at the Colmery-O'Neal V.A. Medical Center retiring October 16, 1968.
She was a member of the Wanamaker Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Leah married John W. Flickinger on May 1, 1961 in Topeka. He died August 7, 2008. Survivors include a sister, Esther (Don) John, Fresno CA; step-daughters, Charlotte (John) Berdahl of Fairbanks, AK, Cynthia (David) Butler, Winter Park, FL; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and caregiver, Patty Thompson, Topeka
Cremation has taken place and Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
