Mrs. Lenore Hyde, 98, passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 in the loving arms of her family.
Lenore was born in Brookfield, MO on Oct. 10, 1908 to Frank Gillespie Weldon and Susan Barber Weldon.
In 1924 she started working for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Brookfield, MO. She transferred to Topeka in 1936. She retired in 1973 with 49 years of service.
She was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She belonged to the Nondenominational Christian Church.
She was married to Warren Hyde in 1940, they were divorced. He died in 1976.
Left to grieve her loss is her daughter Terry Soria and her husband Adolfo, her granddaughters, Gina Soria and Lisa Samqua and her husband Gary, and her great grandchildren, John and Serena Samqua.
