Leroy Edward Grandstaff

LeRoy Edward Grandstaff, 85, of Burlingame, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
He was born February 27, 1934, in Lecompton, Kansas, the son of Clarence and Viola (Logan) Grandstaff. He attended school Lecompton.
LeRoy was a construction boilermaker for various companies and was a member of Boilermakers Local Union #112 and #83 until retiring.
LeRoy married Carol L. Hanson on September 3, 1962 in Minnesota. She survives of the home. Other survivors include six children, James Grandstaff, Reedsport, OR and JoAnne Grandstaff, Browing, MT, Denise Rookstool, Topeka, Richard Grandstaff, Topeka, Gerold Grandstaff, Burlingame and Lynette Grandstaff, Topeka; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Linda Lois, and Carol; and a brother, Gary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Marvin, Melvin, Steven and Ronald; and a sister, Anita.
LeRoy wanted to be remembered by his "one arm hug". He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, talking and helping people.
Honoring his request, cremation is planned. No services are planned. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel is assisting the family.
