Leslie E. Van Sickel

Leslie E. Van Sickel, 68, of Topeka passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center. She was born on March 23, 1946 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Marvin and Eileene (Talkington) Fargo.
She is survived by her husband James of 47 years; her brother William Fargo, of Cody, WY; her sister Chris (Tom) Girard, of Lawrence; brothers, John Van Sickel, of Lawrence, and Steve (Chris) Van Sickel of Ferguson, MO; 5 nieces and 1 nephew; 3 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews.
She graduated from K-State University with a Masters degree in Sociology. Leslie retired from the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services after 30 years.
Honoring her wishes, no services are planned. Her family suggests memorial contributions be made to the CAT Association of Topeka, 1719 SW Gage Blvd. Topeka, KS 66604.
