Lila Lee Imming, 80, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Midland Hospice House.
Lila was born June 22, 1935 in Topeka, the daughter of Charles "Bud" and Emma Gill. She lived her entire life in Topeka.
She was a 41 year employee of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, retiring in 1994. After her retirement, she volunteered at Doorstep, Topeka Civic Theatre, Stormont-Vail Hospital and the Volunteer Bureau of Topeka.
She was a long time member of First Christian Church, serving in various capacities over the years.
Lila married William "Bill" Imming on April 20, 1956. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1982. Survivors include daughter, Laurie Miller, Silver Lake; son, Mark Imming and wife, Laura, Richmond, TX; 13 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015 at First Christian Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Private family inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
