Lillian "Faith" Mercy Cox, 52, passed away Wednesday, 9 Nov 2016, at her home in Carbondale, KS, surrounded by her family and friends.
Faith was born 5 Jun 1964, to Lawrence and Lillian Zufelt in Camillus, NY. She served in the US Air Force as a security forces member from 1991 – 1994. While in the Air Force she met and later married her husband of 20 years, Brent Cox.
She was preceded in death by her father, and sister, Bonnie.
Faith is survived by her husband; son, Nathan Cox; daughter, Aniva Cox; mother-in-law, Judi Cox; brothers-in-law, Brian and Carl Cox and their families; sister-in-law, Ellen Hyatt and family; mother, Lillian Zufelt; brother, Larry; sister, Nancy; and godparents, Ervin and Mary Durham.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, 14 Nov 2016, at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, 3501 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66614. Burial will follow at Mayetta Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be given to The ALS Association Mid-America Chapter, 6950 Squibb Rd., Ste. 210, Mission, KS 66202.
