Linda Carol (Green) Blevins,74, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the University of Kansas Hospital, St. Francis Campus, Topeka, Kansas.

Linda was born in Moran, Kansas on June 14, 1950, to Eva M. (DePointer) Green and George E. Green of LaHarpe, Kansas. She was a member of the Christian Church in LaHarpe, Kansas, and served as musical accompanist.

Linda attended Marmaton Valley High School in Moran, Kansas where she was a member of the marching band. Linda played the clarinet and enjoyed participating in band competitions and marching in various parades. She graduated in 1968.

Linda married her high school sweetheart, Richard, June 16, 1968, in LaHarpe, Kansas. They were married for 49 years.

Over the years, Linda worked at Jones Jewelry, she wrote advertisements for KALN radio station, worked at Miller & Son’s Dress Factory, all in Iola, Kansas. After moving to Maple Hill, Kansas in 1985 Linda was employed by Menninger’s as a receptionist. Linda later retired from Washburn University, where she was an administrative assistant to the University President.

In retirement, Linda loved reading, making beaded jewelry, sewing, and cheering on her KU Jayhawks basketball team! She was always ready for a shopping trip or a meal at Cracker Barrel.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and a grandson, Brayden Blevins.

Linda is survived by her three children: Annette Blevins, Topeka, Kansas, John Blevins, Manhattan, Kansas and Curtis (Jamie) Blevins, Topeka, Kansas; sister Janice Hageman, Hays, Kansas; four grandchildren, Emily Blevins, Topeka, Kansas and Mana, Aido, and Eba Blevins, Yokosuka, Japan; two nephews Bryan Hageman, Hays, Kansas and David Hageman, Lawrence, Kansas and one great nephew Liam Hageman, Lawrence, Kansas.

Cremation was chosen. Funeral service will be held at the Dove Funeral Home on 37th & Wanamaker Road, on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11a.m. Interment will take place at a later date, with family present.
