Linda Russell Cornelison
Linda Cornelison, age 57 of Topeka died Sunday surrounded by family and friends at a Topeka Hospital following an extended illness. Linda and her husband Jerry lived in Ozawkie for 18 years prior to moving to Topeka in 2004. At her request, her body has been cremated. The family will have a private inurnment at the Crowley cemetery in Jefferson Co, Ks.
Linda was born on November 23, 1948 in Beckley West VA, the daughter of Russell and Elfa McNeil Boggs. Linda was educated in W. VA including Marshall University in Hunnington, W. VA.
Linda held several positions during her career with the State of Kansas, most recently serving as the Budget Analyst for the Office of the State Bank Commissioner. Linda is survived by her husband Jerry, her mother, her youngest son Kent Stewart of Union, MO, another son of Topeka, and two stepsons.
This Saturday January 28, from 1 to 4 pm, family and friends are invited to an informal gathering in celebration of Linda and her life. The celebration will be held in the Jayhawk Club of the Jayhawk Tower, 700 SW Jackson St, Topeka, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial contributions..be made to Midland Hospice of Topeka. On a later date, a celebration will be held in Beckley, W. VA.
