Linda M. Gayton, 54 of Topeka passed away October 10, 2009 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born October 10, 1955 in Augsburg, Germany, the daughter of Bill Gayton and Nina (Madorna) Miller. She touched the hearts of everyone she met and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Linda was a life long resident of Topeka and attended Highland Park High School. She was a frequent donor to Helping Hands Humane Society and Topeka Rescue Mission.
Linda is survived by her daughter Ranae Ortiz of Topeka; son Ryan Gayton of Topeka; mother Nina Miller of Panama; brothers David Miller of Topeka and Michael Gayton of Charleston, WV; two grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece. She is also survived by her beloved Dalmatian "Maggie" and her Jack Russell Terrier "Jack." She was preceded in death by her father Bill Gayton.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16 at Dove Funeral Home, 4020 SW 6th Ave, Topeka. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome during visitation on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
