Linda Jo Woods

Linda Jo Woods, 64, of Stilwell, KS died Sunday, August 4, 2013 peacefully and surrounded by her family. She was born in Topeka, KS on December 20, 1948, graduated from Seaman High School in 1968 and married Glenn Woods on January 4, 1975 in Topeka, KS. Linda worked as a cosmetologist for 12 years, and she and Glenn lived in Kansas City, KS, Pueblo, CO, Chicago, IL, Tulsa, OK, and then back to Kansas City, KS. Linda spent many years as a devoted mother and housewife, and then in Kansas City, she worked at Walt Disney Customer Service, AIG International Workman's Compensation Department, and Alliance Data Systems' Human Resources.

Linda is survived by her husband, Glenn Woods, their children, Jenna Woods and Steven Woods, brother, Dan Rathbun, and beloved grandchildren, Conor Woods and Eva Woods. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Delores Rathbun and baby sister, Bernice Rathbun.

Linda loved gardening, painting, creating colorful handmade crafts, and spending time with her family, especially her grandson. She enjoyed traveling, whether it be to Flagstaff, AZ and Oceanside, CA with Glenn, Hawaii and Colorado with Glenn and her children, or Rome, Italy for Steven's wedding to Christina McGrath Woods.

The memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10th at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66606. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Private inurnment will be at West Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Liver Foundation at www.liverfoundation.org.
