Linda K. Stich, 59, of Topeka, died Saturday, December 11, 2004 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on June 15, 1945 in White Cloud, Kansas, the daughter of Delaine and Mary Hayes Hooper. She had resided in Topeka since the mid 1960's. She was employed as a secretary at Highland Park Central Elementary School for 25 years. She was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church, Highland Heights Christian Church and was on the Board of Trustees for the Forest Park Retreat Center. She was married to Ronnie R. Stich on June 15, 1968 in Hiawatha, Ks. He survives. Other survivors include one son, Randall R. Stich of Topeka, two daughters, Melissa L. McCall of Topeka, Kathryn E. Stich of Topeka, one granddaughter, Jessica L. McCall, one grandson, Gregory R. McCall, one sister, Wanda L. Jenkins of Troy, Ks. and her mother, Mary Hooper of Hiawatha, Ks. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary K. Hooper, on December 21, 1996. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Oakland United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Stich will lie in state after Noon Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
