Linda Dee Woodruff (McGinnis), 68, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024, in Topeka, KS.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Warren Woodruff; her daughter, Alyson Mitchell (Jason); her son Grady Woodruff (Elizabeth); grandchildren Maddie, Emersyn, Liam, Bryer, and Emery. Additional survivors include her siblings Leah Cole (Tim) of Edmond, OK; Doug McGinnis (Connie) of Broken Arrow, OK; Donnie McGinnis (Jean) of Topeka, KS; and sister-in-law Barb McGinnis of Topeka, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents Dale and Lenita McGinnis; her brother Dan McGinnis; and her nephew Shelby McGinnis.
Linda was born in Independence, Kansas, and was raised in both Pratt, Kansas, and Topeka, Kansas. She attended both Pratt High School and Topeka West High School. She also attended Washburn University.
She spent many years working in medical offices of Memorial Hospital, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, and retired as a Certified Medical Coder for Tallgrass General, Vascular & Bariatric Surgery at The University of Kansas, St. Francis Campus.
She enjoyed traveling the country, taking cruises, and spending time with family. Linda spent many weekends hauling her children to and from the soccer fields, and has been a South Stand Supporter of Sporting Kansas City for many years.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Visiting hours are from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Wednesday May 8, 2024 at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka. The funeral will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday May 9, 2024 at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to support the Kidney Transplant Program at the University of Kansas Health System.
