Lois M. Birt, 83, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022.
She was born July 24, 1938, in Wyoming, the daughter of Dale and Agnes Nicodemus. She graduated from Burns (WY) High School and attended Washburn University.
Lois was employed by Shaw, Hergenreter, Quarnstrom and Kocher for over 40 years.
Mrs. Birt was a member of the Moose Lodge of Topeka.
Lois married Alfred Jr. Birt in 1953 in Wyoming. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1998. Survivors include her son, Ray Birt of Sunrise Beach, MO; her life partner Rae Stewart of Topeka; Rae's sons Ed Stewart and Carl Stewart, both of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Alfred Jr. Birt.
Lois enjoyed travel and the occasional trip to the casino.
Lois was cremated. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 11th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the old Moose Lodge, 1901 North Kansas Avenue in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northeast Kansas Parkinson Association, PO Box 67342, Topeka, KS 66667-0342.
