Lois Cornely
Lois A. Cornely, 68, Topeka, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
She was born Sept. 14, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of Robert and Hazel Johnson Taylor. She attended Florida A&M University, and came to Topeka in 1957.
Mrs. Cornely was employed by the Kansas State Department of Revenue. She attended True Vine Missionary Baptist Church.
She married William Cornely on July 15, 1956. He died in 1999. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta Cornely.
Survivors include three daughters, Angela Cornely, Eunice Luarks, Andrea Gilchrist, two sons, William Cornely, Jr., Robert Cornely, all of Topeka; seven grandchildren, Netasha, Candice, Yvette, Alisha, Rosetta, Mercedes, and Robert, Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Zeylona, Malachi, Honesti, Caleb; aunt, Idella Bowens, Jacksonville, FL.
Services will be held at noon Tuesday at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm Monday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home.
