Lois E. Gerhardt

October 20, 1934 — January 12, 2015

Lois Ellen Gerhardt, 80, Topeka, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at Lexington Park Assisted Living.

Lois was born October 20, 1934 in Craig, MO, the daughter of Harry and Louise (Stuenkel) Gerhardt. She graduated from Netawaka High School and from Washburn University.

She was a Certified Professional Secretary and retired from KEPCO in 1999.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was active in the church and LWML. She had held every office of the Tau Kappa Chapter of Phi Tau Omega Sorority and was the 1980 Woman of the Year for the American Business Women's Association.

Lois loved to travel in the States, and abroad, and to share those experiences and memories with family and her many longtime friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Raymond, Eldon (Joe) and Lyle; and sisters Thelma and Linda. Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Gerhardt, Council Bluffs, IA; and many beloved nieces, nephews and their children.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Private family inurnment will be in the Netawaka Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LWML at St. John's Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
