Lois Faye Bisel, 92, of Topeka, passed away Jan. 22, 2010. She was born Jan. 17, 1918 in Auburn, Ks., the daughter of George and Mary Elizabeth Bass.
Lois married Marvin Albert Bisel on Nov. 15, 1942, and the couple remained married 65 years.
Lois worked at Morrells meat packing plant in Topeka before starting her family. She later operated a day-care from her home. She was a longtime member of Fairlawn Heights Wesleyan Church who deeply loved her Lord, family and church family.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and all 10 of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughter Delores Land (Bill) and sons Ernie (Pat) and Gary Bisel (Deb Goodrich), all of Topeka; grandchildren Debra Martin (Douglas), Daniel Mills (Michelle), Tim Bisel (Lisa), Aaron Bisel and Atalie Tompkins (Aaron); and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan 28, at Fairlawn Heights Wesleyan Church, 5400 S.W. Huntoon.
Lois will lie in state after 3 p.m. Wednesday, with the family receiving friends from 4-7 p.m. at Penwell Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 S.W. Wanamaker. Burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
