Lois G. Moss, 87, of Berryton, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at McCrite Plaza in Topeka. She was born August 17, 1930 in Beloit, Kansas, the daughter of Harold and Alberta (Altimus) Brown.
Lois graduated from Beloit High School. She was employed by Berryton Elementary School as a school cook. She was a Foster Parent for the Kansas Children's Service League for over 20 years. Lois was a member of the Berryton United Methodist Church where she was involved with the United Methodist Women, the Sesame Club and the Foundation for Community Encouragement.
Lois married Blaine Moss on April 9, 1950 at Beloit, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2005. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Melanie Moss on January 25, 2007 and Pamela Crandall on June 23, 2016.
Survivors include her children, Roger (Kayla) Moss of Topeka, Dirk (Deb) Moss of Topeka, son-in-law Alan Crandall of Palm Harbor, FL, five grandchildren, Sarah, Alison, Tanner, Jake and Brandon, four great-grandchildren, Cannon, Drake, Everly and Kitty and her sister, Charlotte Bartleson.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Berryton United Methodist Church. Private inurnment will take place in Lynn Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Berryton United Methodist Church, 7010 SE Berryton Rd., Berryton, Kansas 66409.
