Louise Gerdes, 77, of Topeka, passed away, April 22, 2005 at her home.
She was born November 11, 1927 in Nordenham, Germany the daughter of Ludwig and Mariechen Niemann.
Louise married Heinrich Gerdes August 9, 1947 in Germany .They immigrated to the U.S. in 1955.
She is survived by her husband Heinrich, her daughter, Magrit Siple and her son Gary, all of Topeka, two sisters, Rosemary Mehrens and Anna Drusch, one brother Heinz Niemann, and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Mark Gerdes and her sister Maria Dugan.
She will be deeply missed by friends and family.
Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Avenue.
