Lovie Katherine Smith, Topeka, Kansas, was born on September 2, 1936, Oskaloosa, Kansas. She passed away peacefully at Hospice House with family on December 27, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margurete Langdon, her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Clarence Edwin Smith, her brothers, William(Bill) Langdon, Jon(Jack) Langdon and Jules Langdon and her sisters in-law Violet Langdon, Donna Langdon, and Leita Hiebsch(Don). She is survived by her daughter Kandi Smith Wells and her husband Glen Wells, Granddaughter Ashley Wells Craig and her husband Adam, Grandson Richard Wells and his fiance Mandi Walters, Great Grandsons Cooper Wells and Charles Smith Craig, and Great Granddaughter Ainsley Wells. Her sisters in-law Bess Brewer, Wilma Smith, Janice Langdon, and Brother-in-law Howard Smith and his wife Fredonna, and nieces and nephews.
She was employed by Patterson Advertising for almost 40 years before she retired. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, sister-in-law, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a kind and gentle soul.
