Lynda (Leuty) Jordan, 77, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021.
She was born August 12, 1944, in Treece, Kansas, the daughter of James and Virginia (Smith) Leuty.
Early in her life, Lynda was a hairdresser for many years in both Topeka and down in Oklahoma.
When Lynda lived in Bolivar, Missouri, she was a part of a card club and bowling league.
She loved to travel. As a truck driver, she was blessed with the ability to see the states on her travels. Alongside her on some of those travels were her dog companions.
She was a simple woman and liked the simple treasures of life.
She treasured those at Lexington Park for helping her carry out her wishes of a simple life.
Lynda married William Dennis Jordan on May 5, 1993 in Fairhope, Alabama. He preceded her in death in 2012.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynna (Phil) Garretson; siblings, Wanda Hovey, David Leuty, Dennis Leuty, and Ray Leuty; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Theresa M. Cain; brother, Jimmie Leuty and sister, Carol Dunnaway
Cremation is planned and private interment will take place at the Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
