Mabel Riley

Mabel L. Riley, 91, of Tecumseh, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Midland Hospice.

She was born October 21, 1919 in Richland, Kansas the daughter of Charles E. and Rachel Fay (Michael) Schutz.

Mabel was a member of Tecumseh United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

On January 17, 1942, she married Philip Vernon Riley. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2011. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Schutz and a sister, Mildred Lewis.

She is survived by her son, Philip E. Riley of Tecumseh and her sister, Ruth Jean Richards of Topeka.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery southeast of Topeka. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
