Mae Belle (Day) Mendez

Mae Belle (Day) Mendez, 72, of Osage City, Kansas passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. She was born August 15, 1947 in Beaver, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Dockum) Day.
Mae graduated from Howard High School in Howard, Kansas. She was employed by Ron Warta Chiropractic, Jostens Yearbook Company and the Florist Review Magazine.
Mae enjoyed sewing, leather crafting, reading and Native American healing with herbs.
Mae married Ralphael Mendez on March 28, 1969. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Mae Elena Mendez.
Survivors include children, David Mendez of Topeka, Chad Mendez of Topeka, step-daughter, Anita Mendez of Topeka, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and her siblings, JoAnn, Charley, Emma (Alex) and Willie (Rita).
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, Kansas 66506.
