Mamie J. Meyer-Coker

Mamie J. Meyer Coker, 99, of Topeka, died Thursday, September 29, 2011. She was born May 23, 1912 in Hiawatha, KS, the daughter of William and Josephine Botkins.
Mamie married Fred C. Meyer on November 1, 1933 in Omaha, NE. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1980. She married Ralph D. Coker on October 17, 1981. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1985. Mamie was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce and Willis Botkins; three sisters, Margaret, Lydia, and Helen; several nieces and nephews.
Mamie was a past volunteer at Stormont Vail Hospital for several years and a member of the Stormont Vail Ladies Auxiliary. She spent the last nine years at Rolling Hills, where she was treated with love.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 3, at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66606. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Penwell Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Rolling Hills Beauty Shop, or the Helping Hands Humane Society.
