Mamie Lee Rogers, 50, passed away Monday, July 16, 2007 in Topeka.
She was born June 5, 1957, in Pine Bluff, AR, the daughter of Bertha Lee Holmes and Henry Rogers, and the step daughter of Joel Henderson. Mamie attended Topeka High School. She was a Christian, and a member of Faith Temple. She was preceded in death by a son, Andre L. Baker, Jr.

She leaves to mourn; her parents, a daughter, Lekeisha Brown, Kansas City, MO, two sons, Thomas Brown Jr., Topeka, and Carl (Neil) Brown, Coleman, FL. Also surviving are three sisters, Charlie Holloman, Joyce Holloman, and Patricia Small; three brothers, Edward Holloman, Sam Holmes, and Phillip Holloman; eleven grandchildren, plus a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Ms. Rogers will lie in state with a family visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2007 at the funeral home.
