Marcos Lira, 66, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020.
He was born April 5, 1954, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Pedro and Elvira (Cisneros) Lira. He attended college at Hutchinson Community College and the University of Kansas.
Marcos was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad for over a decade.
Marcos married Karla Sowder on October 10, 1992 in Emporia. Survivors include his wife Karla; daughter Danea Didig (David) of Denver, CO; granddaughter Dorothy Didig of Denver, CO; sisters Rita Ford (Rick) of Osage City, KS, Angie Swisher of Osage City, KS, and Consuelo Marshall of Ottawa, KS; and brother Pete Lira (Kris) of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel Lira.
Marcos enjoyed all KU sports, watching TV and fishing.
Marcos was cremated. A private visitation will be held.
