Margaret Jean Bradshaw

September 4, 1935 — November 10, 2021

Marge Bradshaw, 86, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Nichlaus and Antoinette Cindrich; her daughter Kathleen Clark; and her siblings Mary, Larry, and Jane. She leaves behind a loving family - her husband Sam; her daughters Deborah, Maggie, Wendy and Louisa; and eleven grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marge was a loving, active, and intelligent woman; her daughters recall her joy and smiles, and whenever they had an event she was always with them. Her husband was sustained by her love and empathy.

She worked at the VA for many years where she was well loved by the patients and staff; they would do paintings for her to add joy and beauty to her work area, making it more enticing for her. For years her husband was Mr. Marge instead of chief or doctor - it was funny to him. She held parties for the staff and did all the cooking for them. Her husband taught medical students and they always returned for the next class due to her amazing treats.

She was always adventurous and there was no holding her back on a good deal or a garage sale – and her children have followed in her footsteps. She never saw a stranger; by the time you encountered her she was your friend, which may have been why she was so interested in the city of Topeka and was a candidate for the 51st district. She was very active in politics and historical sites in the city. She helped purchase the Constitution Hall so that it would not be destroyed. She worked on gubernatorial campaigns and for local constituents in the Democratic Party on so many committees they are hard to recall. Because of these interests she earned her bachelor's degree from Washburn University and did not stop she graduated with a master's in Public Administration with honors from Kansas University. She was a good listener to Governor Finney who she worked with often. How lucky we all were to be able to just come by the Governor's mansion.

She loved art and supported many local artists - her home today is still filled with the magnificent works produced by them. She was loved and beautiful. She won't be forgotten by her family - by any means.

Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel is assisting the family.
