Margaret Louise Dahlstrom

Margaret Louise (Hosler) Dahlstrom, 95, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 27, 2022.
She was born October 21, 1926, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Claud B. Hosler and Susie A. (Hulce) Hosler. She attended Lafayette Grade School, East Topeka Junior High, and graduated from Topeka High School in 1944. She later attended Christ's Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1947.
Margaret married Robert C. Dahlstrom on May 28, 1948, in Topeka. They later divorced in 1978. Survivors include her daughter, Jenifer Banks (Robert), and her son, Jerold Dahlstrom (Denise), all of Topeka. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jacob Dahlstrom (Cally) of Kansas City, MO, Isaiah Dahlstrom of Topeka, Susan Banks of Lakeland, FL, and Karlsson Banks of Brooklyn, NY. Her great-grandchildren are Liam Dahlstrom and Fiona Dahlstrom of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Barbara Pomeroy and Janet Allen. She was also preceded in death by Robert Sowers, a longtime companion of 13 years.
Ms. Dahlstrom worked at many different jobs. She was a nurse at Stormont-Vail, Hillhaven, and the Menninger Foundation, and she was a coordinator for Homemakers (Upjohn).
She also ran the office for Robert C. Dahlstrom Construction, and later handled office tasks at Tenth Street Medical.
She enjoyed gardening and tending house plants, reading, knitting, crafting, bingo and horse racing. She also loved following her favorite sports teams, KU Basketball, the KC Chiefs and the KC Royals.
Margaret was cremated, and per her wishes there will be no memorial service.
