Margaret R. Duncan, 97, Topeka, died Monday July 23, 2012 at Aldersgate Village.
She was born October 23, 1914 in Colgate, OK, the daughter of Martin and Anna Bleu Rosso. She was raised in McAlester, OK, and lived in Ottawa before moving to Topeka.
Mrs. Duncan was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Ottawa.
She married Howard Duncan on August 30, 1930. He died January 28, 1994.
Survivors include her son, James (Joni) Duncan of Woodbury, CT; her daughter, Janet (Dennis) Nelson of Topeka; seven grandchildren, Kathy (Randy) Smith of Topeka, Brice (Whitni) Nelson of Victor, ID, Tom (Joan) Duncan, Sue (Kevin Kusinitz) Duncan, Scott Duncan, Mike (Sheila) Duncan, Nancy (Robert) Goemaat, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Chapel at Grace Episcopal Cathedral, Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Cathedral Children's Playground Fund, 701 SW 8th Ave, Topeka 66603 or to Grace Episcopal Church, PO Box 601, Ottawa, KS 66067.
Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
