Margaret Josephine Cooper, 87, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at a Topeka hospital. She was born August 4, 1926 in Topeka, the daughter of Edith Elliott.
She married Henry J. Cooper. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Edith, and her grandson, Eric J. Cooper on November 13, 1998.
Survivors include her son, James Cooper, her grandson, Troy Cooper and her granddaughter, Gabrielle Cooper and her step-granddaughter, Chassity Sanders.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Hope Cemetery. Burial will follow. Margaret will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 S.W. 21st St., Topeka, KS 66604.
