Margaret A. Liggett

Margaret A. "Marge" Liggett, 93, of Berryton, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was born December 22, 1929 in Osage County, Kansas, the last surviving child of nine children born to Alvie Preston and Ada Alice (Vreeland) Oldham.
Marge graduated from Overbrook Rural High School in 1947. She was employed as an Accountant by the State of Kansas for 40 years before retiring.
Marge married Olen W. "Wes" Liggett on July 7, 1951 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2014.
Survivors include one son, Curtis A. (Kathleen) Liggett of Berryton, one grandson, Drew, one granddaughter, Amanda and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Private burial will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
