Marge Colcher, 89, lifelong resident of Topeka, passed away March 8, 2017. She was born in Topeka on August 8, 1927, the fourth of nine children, to Leroy A. and Alta Jane Effie (Adams) Hamlin. She attended Topeka public schools.
Marge was employed by Josten's as a silk screen operator for many years and as a draftsman for the state of Kansas, for many years as well. She also worked for the Hercules Powder Plant for a short time. Marge loved to go fishing.
Marge married Everett D. Humbert, Sr. They were divorced. She then married Nolan D. Colcher. They also divorced.
She is survived by her sons: Everett D. Humbert, Jr. and his wife Peggy, Larry A. Colcher, Gary Colcher and his wife Tracy, all of Topeka; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her brothers: Paul of Florida and Wilbur of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Beverly Ann Moore Heuser in 1988; 4 grandchildren: Wesley A. Colcher, Donnie Moore, Jerry Moore and Delmon B. Humbert; her parents; and many of her siblings.
A graveside inurnment service will be held at a later date.
