Margie M. Coffman, 86, Topeka, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010.
Margie was born December 5, 1923 in Carbondale, the daughter of Harold and Rova (Ikenberry) Flory. She graduated from Carbondale High School in 1940.
She worked as a teacher's assistant at Lowman Elementary School and for Sears for over 30 years, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church, P.E.O., American Legion Auxiliary, Retired Officers Association Auxiliary, and volunteered at McCrite's Plaza.
Margie married Carl C. Coffman, Jr. on June 16, 1941 in Topeka. He died September 3, 1981. Survivors include sons, Raymond (Pearl) Coffman, Lady Lake, FL, Carl "Bob" (Becky) Coffman, Topeka; grandchildren, Christopher, Kimberly, Ryan & Ramie, Jeromy, Belinda; great grandchildren, Justin, Drake, Analese; and sisters, Pat Pinelle and Judy Stone. She was also preceded in death by grandchildren, Justin and Thomas Coffman; great granddaughter, Rylynn Coffman; and sister, Betty Jean Elmore.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Lowman United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Overbrook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lowman United Methodist Church, 4000 SW Drury Lane, Topeka, Kansas 66604 or Capper Foundation. 3500 SW 10th,Topeka, Kansas 66606.
Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
