Maria Consuelo Morales de Clark, 82, of Topeka, passed away May 5, 2018. She was born November 17, 1935 at Teruel, Spain to Angel Morales and Consuelo Sahun Benesenes de Morales. She was raised in the Catholic Church and schools at Zaragoza, Spain. She was employed while she lived in Spain as a seamstress and midwife.
Maria Morales de Clark met Arthur Lee Clark through her employer. He was stationed in Spain with the United States Air Force. They married on July 12, 1961 at Zaragoza, Spain. His tours of duty took the family to Topeka, Kansas, California, France, back to California, then they returned to Spain. Arthur passed away in 1973 in Spain.
After his death, she moved her family of four children back to Topeka, Kansas. She only spoke Spanish and was now raising her children alone in a foreign country. She lived her life to the fullest with her children and made many, many friends. She enjoyed singing and dancing.
Maria is survived by her children: Daniel Blasco (Pili) of Zaragoza, Spain, Allie Campbell, Arthur Clark, Jr., Marisa Huggins (Edward), Claude Clark (Leanna) all of Topeka, KS; 10 grandchildren: Maria Reyes, Raquel, Sandra, Blain, Rees, VR, Chantee, E.J., Brieanna and Isabella; 14 great-grandchildren; her brother, Angel Morales and sister, Victoria Morales Sebastian, both of Zaragoza, Spain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Arthur, brother, Julio Morales and her granddaughter, Brianne.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, 307 SE Tefft Street, Topeka, Kansas 66607.
