Marian Louise "Uppy" Milner, 83, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023. She was born September 24, 1939 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of William and Ina (Beck) Rosenboom.
Marian graduated from Cheney High School in Cheney, Kansas and earned her Nursing Degree from Stormont-Vail School of Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse by the Menninger Foundation until retiring. Marian enjoyed watching sports and supported the Royals, Chiefs and Kansas teams in their good seasons and bad. Marian was an exceptional mom and an extraordinary grandma (Mimi). Mimi always made her family feel loved and supported. Countless memories were made at the zoo, playing games and family vacations. Mimi gave the kind of love that some people wait a lifetime to receive. Being loved by her was truly a gift.
Marian married Billy "Doc" Milner on September 5, 1959. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2020. She was also preceded in death by their son, Marc Milner on August 12, 2017. Survivors include their daughters, Kim Fowler of Topeka and Patty (Tony) Winslow of League City, Texas, grandchildren, Nick Milner, Blake Winslow, Matt Fowler, Ali Fowler, Ashley Winslow, and her siblings, Bill Rosenboom, Jerry (Madeline) Rosenboom and Susie (Bob) Kelly.
A private Celebration of Marian's Life and inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
