On September 8, 2018, Marilyn Diehl died in Kansas City after a prolonged illness. Marilyn was born in Wamego, Kansas on April 17, 1955 to Oliver and Mary Anne (Bodell) Diehl. The third of four children, Marilyn was known as a great athlete, an avid lover of animals especially horses, and was most happy doing anything outdoors. She retired after working 37 years at the Santa Fe railroad.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her dad, mom, and sister Karan. She leaves behind Barbara of the home; her brother Jim and Fran, her sister-in-law Kathy, John, Jim and Joe - nephews/little brothers, her sister Jean and Renea, Kristen her niece and many great nieces.
A private service celebrating Marilyn's life will be held on the family farm in Alma, Kansas at a later date. In lieu of memorial contributions, the family asks everyone to consider becoming an organ donor.
