Marilyn S. Alexander, 73 years young, was born December 6, 1940 to Elmer and Onita (Cruse) Baldwin at St. Joseph, Missouri where she was raised and graduated from Benton High School in 1958. She married Dwight Branson in 1958 and moved to California. She passed away June 15, 2014 in Kansas City, Kansas. Dwight preceded her in death.
She was employed as a bookkeeper for a corporate owner of many McDonalds in St. Joseph, MO and for Briarcliff Nursing Home in Topeka, KS which is now an assisted living facility. She was a member of Morning Star Bible Church in Topeka. Her second husband, Alex Alexander was a member of the Shrine and they road Honda Goldwing motor cycles with the Shrine motor cycle chapter. She loved to go camping and at one time made macramé projects.
She is survived by her children, Tracy Branson and Kirk Branson; two grandchildren, Seth and Luke Branson; and her sister Connie Hamilton.
She was also preceded in death by her second husband Alex, her parents, and two brothers Doug Baldwin and Craig Baldwin.
A memorial service will be held at Morning Star Bible Church, 4412 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS on Saturday,June 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at 1:00 p.m. at her son's home, 12921 Briar Dr. Leawood, KS 66209.
