Marion Iona Anzek, 73, Topeka, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Sept. 26, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Virgil Vaughn and Catherine Strickler File. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1950.
Mrs. Anzek lived in Clinton, IA for 10 years and came to Topeka in 1980 from Lawrence. She worked as a secretary for the Kansas Senate from 1985 to 1991, and was the manager of Kansan Towers from 1994-2000. She was a 30 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a 20 year member of the Moose Lodge.
She married Edward F. Anzek on Sept. 8, 1967 at Grace Lutheran Church, Kansas City, KS. He survives.
Other survivors include frou sons, Vaughn Anzek, Kansas City, KS, Kevin Anzek, Loveland, CO, Trent Anzek, Tucson, AZ, Lee Anzek, North Augusta, SC; a sister, Mary Maupin, Independence, MO; a brother, Robert File, Humansville, MO; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm Wednesday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Serenity Columbarium at Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
