Marjorie Ann Hood, age 60, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, Dec 25, 2012 at her residence. She was born on July 11, 1952 in Omaha, NE the daughter of Edward Joe Mead and Joetta Moline.
Marge worked as a registered nurse at Stormont-Vail Hospital 35 years. She was an active member of Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene.
She married Roger Dale Hood August 23, 1980 at Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene, Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include her sons, Seth Eugene Garinger and his wife Jean of Derby; Sean Gaylen Garinger of Topeka; Steven Dale Hood and his wife Briana of Kansas City; Ryan Thomas Hood of Paris, France; Sister, Kathy Gonzalez ; Brother, Joel Mead; Sister, DeVelle Gray; Sister, Stephanie Bowler; Sister, Donna Ingram; her father Warren Moline and his wife Bobbi of Lawrence KS; grandchildren, Isaiah Garinger of Topeka; Brock Garinger of Derby; Isaac Garinger of Topeka; Marjorie Garinger of Derby; Luke Garinger of Derby; Vanessa Garinger of Topeka; Victoria Garinger of Topeka; her mother in law, Charlene Hood; two sisters in law, Sharon Beets and Janice Goins and their families and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Hood will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. Friday December 28, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church followed by burial at West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
