Mark G. Fisher, 53, of Wakarusa, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013. He was born December 26, 1959 at Salina, Kansas to Jack G. and Julia Gorman Fisher. He married Trudy A. Jewell on August 22, 1980 at Salina. Mark was employed by Weigel Painting for over 30 years, and most recently, Torgeson Electric.
Mark was the funniest man around. He was very outgoing and spontaneous. He was an avid hunter and loved taking his grandson Gavin hunting and mentoring him. One of his biggest thrills in life was elk hunting in Colorado. Mark could blow a goose call like no one else!
Mark is survived by his wife, Trudy; daughter, Chanda (Nathan) Beers; grandson, Gavin Beers; mother, Julia Simms; siblings, Chris Baker, Jim Fisher, John Fisher, Julie Fisher, Ann Hutson, Sue Fortune, Richard Fisher, and Teresa Ross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Jack; brothers, Daniel Fisher and Steve Fisher; and his sister, Mary Cypers.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at Wakarusa Presbyterian Church on May 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Please feel free to wear camouflage clothing in Mark's memory.
