Mark S. Hollingsworth, 62, of Auburn, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
He was born November 17, 1961, in Amarillo, Texas, the son of Benjamin and LaDonna (Engelbrecht) Hollingsworth.
Mark was a 1979 graduate of Washburn Rural High School.
After which he was an auto parts salesman for various automobile repair shops and most recently for Haag Oil and Car Quest in Topeka. He was a member of Auburn Christian Church, in Auburn, KS.
Mark married Lynda Leesman on August 8, 1987 in Auburn, later divorced. Survivors include three daughters, Amandalyn (Jordan) Sterns-Hollingsworth of Auburn, Samantha "Sammi" Hollingsworth of Topeka, and Katlyn (Daniel) Burson and two grandchildren, Ellen and Oliver Burson of Wichita, KS; his mother, LaDonna Hollingsworth of Auburn; and two brothers, Frank (Tammy) Hollingsworth of Auburn and Guy Hollingsworth of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mark loved spending time with family. He was a shop smith who enjoyed tinkering with small engines, kayaking, fishing and anything outdoors.
Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A graveside ceremony will be at set for a later date, at the Auburn Cemetary, Auburn, KS 66402.
Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Auburn Christian Church.
