Mark White, 45, Topeka, died in his sleep unexpectedly, February 15, 2016 in his home, related to a heart condition. Mark was born April 7, 1970 in Highland, Indiana. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He worked at John's Hopkins and University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore and Mt. Sinai, NYC; and after moving to Topeka, at St. Francis Medical Center and Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
Mark was an avid reader of British and Russian history and had a special passion for Broadway Theater and musicals. While living on the east coast, Mark treated his parents to professional productions of "Le Miserable" and "The Lion King". He and his brother David shared a special enthusiasm for "Lord of the Rings", "Lost" and many other outstanding shows.
Mark is survived by his parents, George and Sandy White, Topeka; and his brother, David White, Martinborough, New Zealand.
Following Mark's request, a memorial service and visitation will not be held. However, because of his extraordinarily unique gift as a Registered Nurse at Topeka Presbyterian Manor, memorials in his name are suggested to the "Good Samaritan Fund" at the Manor, 4712 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66606.
