Mark E Winkenwader, 46, Topeka, passed away on March 3, 2009. He was born Dec. 18, 1962, the son of John and Donna Winkenwader. He is survived by his three sons, Matt, Shane, and Blake, his parents, three sisters, Gayla Eggers, Wanda Craig, and Laura Fair, and one brother, J.F. Winkenwader and companion Shannon Lynn and her family.
Mark graduated from Topeka West in 1981. He served in the U.S. Navy, he worked as an EMT and a firefighter at Ft Riley, and was currently employed with the City of Topeka. Mark and his three sons umpired for and played in the Ken Berry Baseball League, and the Topeka Parks & Rec softball league.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7th, 2009, at the Town and Country Christian Church, 4925 SW 29th Street, close to 29th and Fairlawn. In lieu of flowers, donations for his three sons can be made in care of Capital City Bank, 1701 SW Gage Blvd. Topeka, KS 66604.
