Martha "Jean" Holden, 93, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021.
She was born March 7, 1927, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles Marion and Shirley Faye (Wilson) White. She was a graduate of Winfield High School.
Jean and her husband, Neil operated the Shoe Mart in Arkansas City, Kansas.
She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church in Topeka.
Jean married D. Neil Holden on September 22, 1946 in Winfield, KS. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2012. Survivors include her daughter, Marcia Armour of Topeka; two granddaughters, Julie (Kevin) Baughman of Shawnee, Kansas, Jennifer Armour (Tom Stuart) of Topeka, four great-grandchildren, Adam Baughman of Lawrence, KS and Parker Baughman of Shawnee, KS and Jay and Bailey Hill of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donald White; and her son-in-law, Alan Armour.
Jean enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, sewing, reading and crossword puzzles.
A private family graveside service will be at the Bennington Cemetery, Bennington, Kansas. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
