Martha L. (Jefferson) Sills, 83, of Topeka, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013. She was born March 3, 1930, in Topeka, Kansas to Silas and Trilba Jefferson.
Martha was raised in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School in 1948. She was employed by Jostens's Publishing as a finisher retiring after 20 years of service.
She was a lifelong member of the Asbury-Mt. Olive United Methodist Church of Topeka.
She married Richard Johnson and they were blessed with two children. They later divorced. Martha later married Stephen Sills on October 1, 1986 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on September 2010. Her son Ronald Troy Johnson and great-great granddaughter Ma'Kyah Johnson-Peppers also preceded her in death.
Martha enjoyed working crossword puzzles, listening to her husband's audio tapes, and listening to Bible studies.
She is survived by her son Stephen Johnson (Liza), three grandchildren: Aaron D. Johnson, Lexington, SC, Ronda A. Johnson, Tulsa, OK and Levi Johnson; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, as well as her nephew Des.
