Martha Marie Hunter died August 21, 2004 at a Topeka Nursing Home. She was born July 13, 1904 in Alva, OK.
She lived in Coffey County and Anderson County before moving to Topeka in 1952. She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church in Topeka. She married Arthur Hunter on December 7, 1925 in Aliceville, KS. Art died January 19, 1994.
She is survived by three daughters, Juanita Godsey of Topeka. Beulah Markley of Topeka. Opal Bradley of Waverly, KS. Two sons, Gerald Hunter of Topeka and Clayton Hunter of Hoyt, KS.
She has 18 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren and 26 Great Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Irene Roberts of Osage City, KS and Myrtle Kennard of Waverly, KS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Art and 3 Great Grandchildren, Salena Godsey, Crystal Hunter and Adam Godsey.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Heart of America Hospice or Highland Park Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 2-7 pm on Monday, August 23 at the Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
