Marvenia Duncan

January 20, 1950 — August 1, 2022

Marvenia "Kaye" Duncan, 72, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at a Topeka hospital surrounded by her family. She was born January 20, 1950 in Lathrop, Missouri, the daughter of Marvin and Roberta (Crowley) Smith.

Kaye graduated from Lathrop High School and earned an Associate's Degree in Business from Kansas City Kansas Business College.

Kaye loved KU Basketball, Harley rides, gardening and bird watching.

Kaye married Richard "Dick" Duncan in October 1971. He survives. Other survivors include children, Brian (Jonni) Duncan of Chanute and Tennille (Danny) Kress of Topeka, two grandsons, Ace and Daxten, multiple nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Kaye was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Ronnie Smith and Bob Smith.

Kaye was an organ donor. Please consider donating as it was near and dear to her.

A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Please wear your Harley, KU or Chiefs Shirts.

Kaye loved dogs, so in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
