Marvin D. Collins, 85, of Scranton, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born August 21, 1934 in Ottawa, the son of Edgar and Edith (Shaffer) Collins.
Marvin graduated from Scranton High School. He was a self-employed car mechanic and worked at Ohse Meats.
Marvin married Doris J. Fay. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Kay (Kent Schaben) White of Berryton, Belinda Sue (Rick) Lane of Olathe, Michael S. (Carol) Collins of Wakarusa, Lisa Jo (Randy) Jackson of Scranton, thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and his siblings, Claudine Smith of Florida, Irene (George) Peters of Topeka, Elaine (Eldon) McCullough of Raytown, Missouri, David (Carol) Collins of Scranton and Dixie (Dean) Brutto of Olathe.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Donald Collins, Colleen Taylor, Jimmy Collins and Carol Owensby.
Marvin will lie in state from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave.
Private graveside services will be held at Scranton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
