Marvin "Merv" Manning Jr. 58, passed away Mar. 5, 2012 at his home. He was born Nov. 29, 1953 in Topeka, Kansas to Marvin Sr. and Elsie "Ellie" Manning. Merv graduated from Topeka High School in 1971 and Kaw Area Technical School-Welding program in 1994. He had been employed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad since 1993. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing horseshoes and hot rod cars.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Manning and Nick Manning both of Eugene, Oregon; a step-daughter Tisha Duncan of Topeka; a sister Nina Underwood (Roger)of Topeka; and a nephew Troy Wolf (Kim) also of Topeka.
He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16 followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m.
